Burleigh Pottery, a family owned business still produces all it's wares from the 120 year old factory at it’s Middleport works in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Their speciality is underglaze transfer printing and they are now the last English pottery company that still continues this traditional and highly skilled hand decorating process. They use ball clay from Devon; china clay from Cornwall to manufacture their unique products. Many of their designs are almost as old as the factory.

Calico is probably their most famous design having been stocked by Habitat in the 1960’s. Today 50 years later it is still in production at the Burleigh Pottery.
