Richard Ginori Porcelain
Marquis Carlo Ginori founded a porcelain factory on his estate in Doccia, near Florence, in seventeen hundred and thirty five. This makes Ginori the oldest factory, alongside Meissen, in continuous production to this day, predating the English bone china factories. It is one of the few modern enterprises where traditional hand-making skills are preserved.
Porcelain is traditionally grey but the Ginori porcelain is the whitest available and is even whiter than Limoges.
Many of today’s classic style patterns emanate from the museum where over five thousand pieces are on display, dating back to the year Carlo Ginori founded his porcelain factory.
