Mason Ironstone

Founded in seventeen hundred and ninety six by Miles Mason, the Ironstone China factory soon became famous for its oriental based designs on both tableware and giftware. Using cobalt blue, deep green and iron red enamel paints the Masons Ironstone china designs are hand painted on to each piece before glazing. Each piece of Ironstone china is then finished by hand with twenty two carat gold, using techniques first used in the early eighteen hundreds. Today Masons Ironstone is part of the Wedgwood group.
