The Royal Horticultural Society
RHS is Britain’s leading gardening charity and is over 200 years old Originally founded by Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood, the aim was to collect plant information and encourage good horticultural practice.
Today the society run’s several gardens which are open to the public, the most famous being RHS Wisley which was gifted to them in 1903 by Sir Thomas Hanbury.
