A hundred years later, in 1951 a group of businessmen again launched Waterford Crystal, using the skills used decades before. In the early 1960’s, as demand began to exceed supply, a larger glass works was built. By the 1980’s Waterford Crystal was the largest producer of handcrafted crystal in the world. When Westminster Abbey was approaching its 900th anniversary, sixteen Waterford cut crystal chandeliers were commissioned for the occasion. | |
